SCP-173
SECURITY CLEARANCE: RESTRICTED
SCP-173 is to remain inside a secure containment chamber whenever it is not being examined or undergoing an approved testing procedure.
The chamber is to remain appropriately illuminated. Personnel entering the chamber must maintain visual contact with SCP-173 and must not allow it to leave their direct line of sight.
Any maintenance or cleaning operation requiring personnel to enter the chamber must follow the Foundation's approved observation and communication procedures.
SCP-173 is a concrete and reinforcing-steel construction resembling a crude humanoid sculpture. Its movements are extremely rapid when it is not being directly observed.
Under observation, SCP-173 remains stationary. Personnel have reported that the object is capable of attacking a person almost immediately after visual contact is broken.
Testing has also established that the object is capable of producing organic waste and that its behaviour requires continuous observation when personnel are in close proximity.
